Meditation is like talking to your creator

Meditation is an exercise that can be both the simplest and the hardest to perform. It is simple in that all you need is yourself. It is the hardest because it requires the discipline to do it. Having a partner really helps; doing meditation with a group makes the experience even easier with the added effect of the creation and exposure to the massive healing energy of the group. Meditation has been compared to self-hypnosis. Some feel that meditating is listening to your creator, while praying is talking to your creator.

Music is the expansion of unlimited reality

If we can feel that It is not our voice, Not our fingers, But some reality deep inside our heart which is expressing itself, Then we will know that it is the soul’s music. The outer music comes from an outer instrument. The inner music comes from the heart. The name of this inner music is oneness. Music means Self-expansion and oneness. The Self expands through music. The Self that expands is not the individual self but the unlimited Self. Music is the expansion of unlimited Reality. Soulful and spiritual music really helps us; it feeds our inner life. Music has tremendous power. With fire we can burn ourselves, or we can cook and do many other good things. It is the same with music. Divine music immediately elevates our consciousness, whereas undivine music immediately lowers our consciousness and tries to destroy our sincere inner cry for a better spiritual life. The spiritual person will immediately be affected by this music. So music can change our consciousness provided it is the music that comes from the heart and enters into the heart. The music that touches the very depth of our heart can elevate our consciousness.

Music resembles a language.

Music resembles a language. Music resembles language in the sense that it is a temporal sequence of articulated sounds which are more than just sounds. Music affects brain at different levels. Our moods change with different types of music. However, at a very deep level its effect is similar to that of deep meditation. Probably it is a reason why all great religions have stressed music as a means for praying and meditation. Music is an external representation of the deep structure of the brain having to do with how we are conscious using interference patterns of the holomind directly, not reconstructing them into their original form for some mysterious "self" somewhere inside the mind to experience. The direct experience of the fractal structure of nature and "Art" in resonance with brain / Mind activity is what is experienced as beauty from the tree to the sunset to Mozart.

Music & Meditation in Everyday Life

Music is composed with the intent of relaxing the listener. Therefore it is not surprising that music create a meaningful experience of relaxation. It's as simple as that. Meditative music provides a presence without forcing you to pay attention to it rather than to your own internal reality. It creates an ambiance that provides an uplifting and inspiring sonic environment. The goal of music is attunement rather than just entertainment. Meditation music is much simpler than most people realize. In essence, it refers to a state of being that involves quieting the mind, relaxing the body, and attuning to our "true self". Meditation and prayer are part of most spiritual practices.

Music – Elevate Our consciousness

Meditation and music cannot be separated. When we cry from the inmost recesses of our heart for peace, light and bliss, that is the best type of meditation. Next to meditation is music, soulful music, the music that stirs and elevates our aspiring consciousness. We cannot meditate twenty-four hours a day, but we can meditate, perhaps, for two hours a day. At other times we can play music or listen to music. When we play or hear soulful music, psychic music, immediately we are 1911 transported to a higher realm of consciousness. When we play music soulfully, we go high, higher, highest. Each time we hear soulful music, we get inspiration and delight. In the twinkling of an eye, music can elevate our consciousness. Music has and also is the key to unlock the Heart-Door of the Supreme.

Meditation Music – A Healing Process

Music Meditation allows us to access a naturally-occurring rest state; it is resting in yourself while remaining awake and alert. It is different from sleep, in that the rest is much deeper and happens quickly, and you become more aware than usual. Meditation with music happens spontaneously for a few seconds or minutes when we gaze at the horizon, a sunset, a river, the ocean, or lie on our backs and gaze upward at the night sky. Meditation benefits all levels of life simultaneously and in balance. Meditation is giving attention a chance to explore its full range, both inward and outward. It is a conversation between your inner and your outer life. This sounds simple, and it is. But there is no end to the delights of attention; there is always more to learn, more to explore, more to awaken to.

Meditation Practices

Meditation is the practice of turning the attention from outer awareness to inner concentration. Meditation is an intensely personal and spiritual experience. The desired purpose of each meditation technique is to channel our awareness into a more positive direction by totally transforming one's state of mind. To meditate is to turn inwards, to concentrate on the inner self. There are many forms of meditation, which help us to becoming a witness of our thoughts. The idea is that when the mind is calm, like a lake without any ripples, we experience total peace and empowerment.
